How it works
Helping your garden flourish step by step
STEP ONE: We take a walk around your garden and discuss ideas and your garden needs. We discuss creating a garden that fits with your needs and provides areas for all year round colour and interest.
STEP TWO: I write up my notes based on our discussions and then email you with all of my suggestions - what to plant, when to prune what you have and so on. I send you images of recommended plants along with their details (including flowering times & plant care).
STEP THREE: I can supply the plants along with the correct plant food and whilst I may not be able plant them for you due to heavy workload, I can assist by positioning all the plants where they should be planted ready for digging in. I also advise on how you can improve your soil and the health of the existing plants you already have in your garden and then.....you watch it flourish!
Cost
Planting right the first time
Cost of Consultancy: The total pricing per consultancy job depends on the size of your garden, how much time we spend together discussing your garden needs and how much time is required on the follow up notes. There is a hourly rate is for the consultation time at your garden then there is also an hourly rate for the work I do on the follow up notes / pictures/ideas/suggestions etc.
This is estimated before the end of the consultation once I have a better idea of what you need. There are no hidden costs and everything is agreed beforehand.
Plants for your Garden: Once we've met, discussed and agreed your garden requirements I can provide the plants and will quote for this separately. Purchasing your plants from my garden nursery means you benefit from great prices as I grow many of them myself - and if I need to source any for you, then you benefit from my trade prices.
Mature but tired garden receives an "injection of expertise"
"We have a beautiful, mature garden but it was tired and unloved and needed an injection of expertise and a really good eye.
Tania came over and did a consultation with us. We told her what we wanted to achieve, in terms of colour, planting, arranging and maintenance. We both love gardening but don’t have the knowledge of plants, or planting where to place plants etc. Our garden is quite big in terms of borders and we wanted something that was achievable to maintain. Tania came up with a range of plants that we told her we liked and also what she thought would work well with these. Over a period of time she prepared the soil for planting, dug over the areas when it was ready for planting and nourished the soil for us.
She kept a lot of our original plants and tended to them so they would look great with her new planting
Her knowledge of plants and where to place, what works well in what soil and colour is absolutely amazing and the finished borders look stunning. We couldn’t be happier with the service that she provided for us. It was money so well spent and the summer of 2023 was the first that we were able to sit down and enjoy our beautiful borders and just enjoy heaps of colour. We will be able to enjoy our garden for years to come as Tania has planted so that the garden will evolve over time.
